Boyce Clay Roark, 75, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013. He was born in Ashe County, NC on May 29, 1938 to the late Ray and Norma Roark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ellis Roark.
Boyce served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. Boyce was a loving husband of 49 years, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all and was deeply devoted to his family. He loved landscaping, working in his yard, and his church. We will never forget his contagious smile.
Left to cherish his memory his wife, Ethelene Lambert Roark; son, Chris Roark (Kimberly Schmidt) of Louisburg; daughters, Kim Roark Hall (David) of Clayton, NC, and Sarah Roark (Richard Lamprecht) of Rocky Mount; sisters, Shirley Eldreth of West Jefferson, NC, Janis Debord of Grassy Creek, NC; brothers, Marlin Roark of Bulls Gap, TN and Ivan Roark of Crumpler, NC; grandchildren, Cameron, Clay, Madison, Gage, Faith, Hailey, and Conrad.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 12:30-2:00pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember Boyce will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shenandoah Baptist Church Building Fund, 3894 Shenandoah Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.

I have know Ethelene and Boyce for a good number of years. They are 2 peas in a pod. He was a good and kind man. He will be missed.
