ROCKY MOUNT - Bobby Lee Weaver, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Born in Nash County, NC on April 21, 1928, he was the son of the late William David Weaver and Betty Langley Weaver. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rematha Cockrell Weaver; son-in-law, Adrian Williams; brothers, Lonnie Weaver and David Weaver; and sisters, Sally Weaver Winstead and Bessie Weaver Winstead.
Bobby retired from Abbott Laboratories. A man of great faith, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. His family was most important to him and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved old fashion country music and playing his guitar. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Roger Allen Weaver of Rocky Mount; and daughter, Linda Weaver Williams of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by grandchildren, April Strange and husband, Jesse and Amanda Weaver; great-granddaughter, Skylar Elizabeth Strange; and brothers, Johnny Elbert Weaver of Rocky Mount and Paul Weaver of Rocky Mount.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation with the family will follow the service and other times at Bobby's home.
