Billy Lawrence Eatmon

ROCKY MOUNT - Billy Lawrence Eatmon, age 88, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Born in Nash County, NC on April 9, 1934, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Eatmon and Nannie Crusenberry Eatmon. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Richard Eatmon; and his sister, Jean Smith. Billy was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a lifelong farmer and member of Memorial Baptist Church. Billy will be missed for his wisdom, his willingness to help others and his love for his family. Billy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Logan Eatmon; his sons, Jeff Eatmon and wife, Joy, of Rocky Mount and Justin Eatmon and wife, Jessica, of Cary; his daughter, Gina Rayman of Rocky Mount; his grandchildren, Josh Eatmon and wife, Brooke, of Wadsworth, OH, Jenna Wallace and husband, Doug, of Morgantown, WV, and Vivian Eatmon of Cary; his great-grandchildren, Skye Eatmon, Brynlee Wallace, Bray Wallace, and Bellamy Wallace; his sisters, Shirley Farmer and Carolyn Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service to celebrate Billy's life will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Tony Russ and Rev. Josh Eatmon officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside. The family would like to say a special thanks to the Home Health Nurses of Center Well Home Care for their loving care.
