Billie “Bill” Batchlor Medlin, age 82, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012. Born in Nash County on February 10, 1930, he was the son of the late Walter Gray Medlin and Vera Batchlor Medlin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Mills Medlin; daughter, Ann Medlin; sisters, Catherine Hendricks, Mattie Ruth Driver, Doris Matthews, and Eunice Green; and brothers, James Medlin, Horace Medlin, John Gray Medlin, and Carl Medlin.
He leaves behind his son, Glenn Medlin of Rocky Mount; and sister, Jean Matthews of Nashville.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:30pm Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember Bill will be held at 2:00pm following the visitation at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Paul Arnold officiating.
