NASHVILLE - Alphys “A.J.” Bissette Jr., age 80, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012. Born in Nash County on December 7, 1931, he is the son of the late Frank Bissette and Myrtie Patterson Bissette and a brother.
A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, he leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Peggy Brantley Bissette; daughter, Sharon Bissette Smith of Nashville; two grandchildren, Jason Morrow Smith and Nicholas Brantley Smith; one great-grandchild, Paul Hunter Smith; two sisters; and four brothers.
Visitation with the family will be held 7:00pm to 8:30pm Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home and other times at the home. A graveside service to remember “A.J.” will be at 3:00pm Sunday afternoon at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville with Rev. Ron Hawley officiating.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was my cousin and I didn’t see him often,but he was still special. Always smiling and happy and a great friend,also.We will miss him but we can be consoled to know that he is home with our Father.
