  1. Sorry for your loss. I met Alicia and Smitty when I started attending Arlington Baptist Church. They became good friends to my husband and me. She was always happy and smiling. Had something going. God can get you through this, just lean on Him, talk to Him. You are in my prayers.

  2. My prayers and condolences are with you, Mark, and the family. This dear lady, your mom, will be dearly missed. She was an awesome, amazing friend and neighbor and I loved her dearly. I will TRULY miss her. We were friends and loved each other very much. She used to always tell me that she was my mother and I better listen to her or she would spank me. I will miss that. I went to her many times for advise as she did me also. I will miss her very much. I cherished every minute that I helped her and that she would call me. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

  3. A wonderful and gracious lady my late wife and I spent many good times with her when her late husband was very sick in the hospital she spent nights with us we talked about the Lord and heaven where she now resides sympathy to Mark and family he took good care of his mother

  4. To know her is to love her! My dear friend Alicia could light up any room she went into, with a big smile on her face. She was a real blessing to everyone she met. Today she is smiling in Heaven. I’ll never forget her and the good times we shared. Deepest sympathy to her son Mark and all her family whom she loved so much! Love & Prayers, Judy Adams

  5. My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of such a dear lady. A vivacious and passionate personality, certainly describes Alicia. I never saw her without a big smile on her face, and a kind word for everyone. Our Springfield neighborhood was blessed because of your family. Grace, Peace & Love, Janice Smith

  6. I imagine that you can’t hear me as I also know that you entered The Kingdom of Heaven with a humble spirit that is soon to become a mighty roar amongst the ones that you loved please allow me the to say I love you seeing that you comforted the ones that I loved and do love , even now. With a heavy heart I mourn the loss of the one who reassured me of my salvation yet still rejoice knowing that you are in the loving hands of our Creator. Thank You Alicia.

  7. Arrival of Angel Alicia It was Sunday morning and the Master’s voice announced, someone very special will be arriving here today! So the angel choir quickly gathered and started to sing beautiful hymns over by the pearly gates. Shortly thereafter came a clap of thunder and a tunnel of bright light pierced the white clouds and into heaven another angel came! The angel choir paused momentarily and whispered among themselves. But whose precious soul was arriving here today And what might be this beautiful angel’s name She said, my name is Alicia, Lord, and I finally made my way! My journey was long and weary and took so many years! I just couldn’t wait another hour, Lord, so I do hope I can stay! Come hither my child, the Lord exclaimed as he looked into His Lamb’s Book of Life, that is your name right here, and it’s been in my book for years. Alicia jumped and screamed with joy! Her beautiful glowing face was flooded with so very many tears. The Master’s voice spoke and once again said, come hither my child and rest at my feet! I have another angel as special as you, whom for years I’ve wanted you to meet. As Alicia looked around, she could see an angel approaching. It was Smitty, with the biggest smile, arms and wings spread wide open! You see, Alicia, the Lord said, this heavenly home is now your eternal home and we will all be here together. Your work on earth is done and your goodness and mercy have followed you all the days of your life. So now, Alicia, you will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (This is one last poem for Alicia. We will meet again one day! Love, Sue Ellen)

  8. Alicia was a very special person, and definitely one of a kind. My sister and I visited her several times down in Spartanburg, SC during the two years preceding the pandemic. We always had a good time and carried her gifts and went out to eat together. She was so upset when we couldn’t go because of the pandemic, but we kept in touch with phone calls and cards, and we mailed her gifts for birthdays and Christmas. She was so excited everytime she received some mail from us. I would write her poems and put in her cards. Some were funny and some were serious. It was always good to talk to her and hear her voice and laughter. . I always called her Alicia Belle and she knew who was calling. She will be missed so very much! Rest in peace Sweet Alicia Belle!!!
