  1. Q: What will you never forget about John “Jack”?

A: In his short time with us at Wesley Pines I will never forget his kindness and mannerisms. I can tell he was a good person and it was an honor to assist in his care. To his family I send my condolences.

  2. During my life, Jack has always been supportive and loving. From my very early childhood until now, Jack was always present in some way. He, along with Betty, continued to show love and support during my adulthood. They attended my wedding, nursing school graduation, and would visit in Raleigh along with Grandma and Grandpa Karshner. In more recent years, we would get together at Christmas at Chris and Aletha’s. Jack is an example of kindness, faithfulness, perseverance, and service to his family and to God. He was a true gentleman in every way. I was blessed to have the honor and privilege to be able to visit him over the last few weeks. My life is better because Jack was in it. To Johnny and Chris, you were so faithful to Jack. He knew he was loved. To the rest of the family, I love you and will be praying for you.

  3. Jack, you will certainly will be missed!
I thank you for the warm reception you extended to me when we first met, back in the spring of 1975. You readily accepted, and eagerly welcomed me, into the family, and your home then, and on every occasion that followed, throughout the many years. For that, I am very thankful.
I thank you for your military service, and multiple sacrifices, while serving our country. Although we did not serve the same military branch, we did have our Vietnam aviation experiences, and service as a common bond between us, which was always meaningful.
Jack, may God grant you the eternal peace that you deserve, My Friend.

  4. I worked with Jack for many years at Nash Finch and always liked him. He was friendly and warm and always had a smile on his face. My condolences to his family.

  5. Worked with Jack at Nash Finch. One of the finest men I’ve ever known. His faith showed in everything he said and did. The world was a better place with him in it. Luanne Jones
