NASHVILLE – Ronald “Ron” Jancso, age 80, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Jancso; his sister, Valeria Jancso Ballard; and his son-in-law, Bobby Mann.
Ron proudly served his country as a member of the esteemed United States Air Force. He also found solace and purpose within the walls of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, where he selflessly served in various roles, including Junior Warden and a cherished member of the Choir Boys. Beyond his commitments, Ron found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, woodworking, engaging in “friendly” card games, and immersing himself in board games. However, his greatest source of happiness was undeniably the precious moments he spent with his beloved grandchildren and family, whom he cherished with all his heart.
Ron is survived by his wife of 35 years, Catherine V. Jancso; his sons, Retired Command Master Chief Stephen Jancso (Diane) of Clayton and John David Chapman (Christina) of Fredericksburg, VA; his daughters, Kathy Jancso Mann of Clayton and Christine Jancso (Bryant Wren) of High Point; his grandchildren, Jaycob Mann (Alanna), Michael Jancso (Aly), Brandon Mann (Nina), Kayla Fox (Ashton), Dylan Jancso, Stevie Jancso, Noah Chapman, Cayden Lynch, Layla Wren, Hunter, Sophia, Giovanni, and Noah; his great-grandchildren, Adeline Eden Mann and Jude Mann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
