Guestbook

  1. Your loss is my loss too. Richard was a special guy and I really enjoyed working with him for 20 years. I’ll never forget how he would turn on the southern charm to try to get a lower hotel price. But then he was a southern boy and it didn’t take much work to turn on his southern charm. My prayers are with you for the days ahead. And we know he is in a better place. With deepest sympathy, Barb Lewis

  2. Truly sorry for your loss. I know when our daughters were in Girl Scouts together,Richard would be standing here with such a big smile on his face watching the girls . I would see him around town and he would still be smiling. Our prayers will be with all of you In deepest sympathy, Martha Barnes and Stephanie Taylor

  3. Having known Richard for so many years, I can honestly say that he was a true gentleman. I’ve known the professional side and also the personal side. He had many professional achievements but his love for Nancy, John and Liz was always his greatest accomplishment. He will be missed by many but his memory will forever live on with those of us whose lives were touched by his.

  4. Nancy, I just wanted to say how much we will all miss Richard at Phoenix-Hecht UAI Technology. Having been with us for 20 years, he was a special person. As I told all our employees, more so than most of us, his work was his life. His relationship with his customers (better to call them friends) was legendary. He helped many with their career changes, especially when their banks layed them off. We will all miss him. If there is anything we can do, just let us know. Steve Maier

  5. I knew Richard for about 15 years through Phoenix-Hecht and the University of North Carlona’s executive education program. He was a very fine gentlemen and a important contributor to treasury management.

  6. I am so sorry for your loss. Richard and I go back to his days at Hardee’s. I’ve moved around the country a fair amount but everywhere I ended up Richard was there. I will miss our dinners and conversation. What a super guy and great friend! I’ll miss Richard, I already do. Pat Collins

  8. Nancy and Family, I am truly sorry for your loss. I worked with Richard during the Hardee’s days and have seen him often having lunch with Ike Campbell at Honey Baked. It sounds like he was still very much involved in the business world and my heart goes out to your and your famly. Jan Cummings Mullen

  13. All my memories of Rich are sweet and dear, memories gathered over the last 20 years. How many times did we meet at conferences, conventions, at our user group meetings where Rich was a speaker – a hundred times or more. Rich always had a good, if not sarcastic, word for me. You always knew that Rich liked you if he had a little humor at your expense. And humor Rich was full of it – humor I mean. A fine man and friend is gone. The whole financial community will miss him. And I will miss him dearly. May his soul, now faithfully departed, rest in peace. Steve Weiland

  14. My deepest synpathy to Richard’s family and the Phoenix-Hecht employees. I knew Richard from participating in the UNC Treasury series. Richard’s candor was very entertaining and our times with him at Top of the Hill were always fun. Mike Seibert, Pepco Holdings

  15. To Richard’s family – I am truly sorry… I have known Richard for years through the NCTMA and you always knew when Richard was in the room! Lee Ann McDaniel

  16. I met Richard through the Greater Washington Association for Financial Professionals and knew him for many years. He was a wonderful person and we always enjoyed his presentations whenever he spoke at our meetings. My sympathies, condolences and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the memories that you will always have of him within your heart. Benie Doctolero

  17. To the Richardson Family, I knew Richard from a professional standpoint for many years. He was a wonderful consultant, teacher and all around great guy. While many of our conversations were business oriented they usually ended up with a much more lively discussion about the Outer Banks and Emerald Island. It was Richard who first mentioned this lovely place to me and my family and I have enjoyed many fine vacations there over the past years. I send to you my heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your husband and father. All of us that knew Richard where better people as a result of his friendship. Ben Phillips.

  18. Rest in Peace Richard. It was a pleasure to work with Richard at Hardees Food Systems for 20 years. Jim Jaffre

  19. When we lose a loved one to death, Jesus opened the way for us to gain everlasting life. (Matt.2028) grief & the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such times as these, we need to go to means of faith in the merit of Jesus shed blood, that we can we gain ; everlasting life.(John 316) The Bible gives Gods word for comfort. (2 Cor. 1 3,4) The Bible helps us to understand how Jehovah & Jesus feel about death. Jesus who perfectly reflected his Father, knew the pain of losing someone in death. (John 149) How did Jesus feel about losing his friend The account tells us that Jesus joined Lazarous relatives & friends as they grieved over this loss. Seeing them, Jesus was deeply moved. He groaned in the spirit & became troubled. Then the account says Jesus gave way to tears. (John 11 33,35) Did Jesus grief mean that he had no hope Not at all, in fact, Jesus knew that something wonderful was about to happen. (John 11 3,4) Still he felt the pain & sorrow that death brings. Jesus did not claim to perform this amazing miracle on his own. In his prayer just before calling out to Lazarus, he made it clear that Jehovah was the source of the resurrection. (John 1141,42) This was not the only time that Jehovah used his power in this way. The resurrection of Lazarus is just one of nine miracles of this kind recorded in Gods word. All of these things just show us what is to come to pass in the near future. What a wonderful gift of LOVE.

  20. Q: How did you meet Richard?

A: Alan and I met Richard when we moved to Rocky Mount on the 1970s and began participating in activities of the Rocky Mount Jaycees. We were also members of First Presbyterian Church and Sharon also worked on the same floor, but in a different department as Richard at Hardee’s Food Systems. We attended Richard and Nancy’s wedding at First Presbyterian Church.

Both couples added babies to our families during 1981. Alan and I celebrated the birth of our daughter, Morgan, in February of 1981 and Richard and Nancy added John to their family during June. If that same year.

  21. We thought the world of Richard and Nancy and I had the pleasure of working on the same floor as Richard when I worked at Hardee’s Food Systems.
