Patricia Ruth Wilder Duke

ROCKY MOUNT – Patricia Ruth Wilder Duke, age 81, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Born in Nash County, NC on January 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Bradford Wilder and Margaret Evelyn Derby Wilder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David J. Duke; and her sister, Carolyn W. Pittman. Patricia loved the beach (OBX) and her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas with her family and friends. Patricia was a good Christian woman. In her later years, she was unable to attend church, but still loved her Lord and Savior. Patricia was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by many. Patricia is survived by her son, Christopher Duke of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Ian Duke and Mary Duke; her brother, Kim Bradford Wilder of Rocky Mount; and many nieces and nephews. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family would like to say a special thanks to her nieces for their love and support in her last days.
