Rocky Mount - Jeane Davis Williams, age 87, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, September 9, 2015 at Elmcroft of Northridge, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Nash County, NC on March 4, 1928, she was youngest child of the late Frank E. Davis and Mattie R. Davis. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Wilbur Dean Williams, Sr.; her five sisters and her one brother.
Jeane was a long time member of West Mount Baptist Church. Her loving and sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Jeane leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Wilbur Dean Williams, Jr. of Rocky Mount; her daughter, Linda W. Cockrell and her husband, Waylon, of Raleigh, NC; her grandson, Michael Dean Cockrell (Mica) and great-grandson, Riley J. Cockrell of Raleigh, NC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00am at Pineview Cemetery with Pastor Mark Pridgen officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 9:30am to 10:30am at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
