NASHVILLE - Jean Griffin Taylor, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Born in Dauphin County, PA on August 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Walter Leonard Griffin and Rachel Marie Williams Griffin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Jake Taylor, Sr. and her son, Jerry Taylor. Jeanne leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Janet Lynn Taylor of Nashville; sons, William "Jake" Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Raleigh, and James Edward Taylor of Nashville; her brother Lee Griffin of Atlanta, Ga; a daughter-in-law Ellen Joyner Taylor of Nashville; and numerous grandchildren. A Celebration of Jean's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please express Jeanne's love of nature and gardening by brightening a friend's day with a plant or special blooms in memory of Jeanne.   2. I worked with Jean at Abbott Labs. She was a dedicated employee and wonderful friend. We talked about flowers and plants and she gave me some to plant in my yard. She will always have a special place in my heart. You all are in my prayers. Nancy Harvey

  4. I am sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Jean at Abbott Labs. She was such a sweet lady and she sure had a way with flowers.
