  2. So many good memories I have of George & Elsie Walker. I will share two…one time a few of us ladies at church were talking about starting a diet group at the church so we wouldn’t have to spend money to go to other groups and Sister Elsie was one of the ladies. George would bring her to our meetings and we would try to talk about healthy eating and George would always say something funny. He told us at one meeting that if we didn’t put some ham hocks in our collards and beans then they wouldn’t be worth eating. Also, he told us that chicken wasn’t worth eating if it wasn’t fried. He would always fry chicken for our church gatherings and he knew I liked chicken necks and he would bring them to me (Janice Dickens said he brought them to her so we had to share). The second thing is that we had a Valentine’s Party at church one year and played the Newlywed Game. He & Elsie won the prize and their answers were so funny that we were all laughing so hard. I wish I could remember the questions & answers, but all I can remember was how funny they were. Brother George will be missed. Will not say Goodbye Brother George, but will say, I’ll see you later. Love to all the family. Betty Pittman

  3. Remembering as a child traveling with my Daddy Joe Foskey Sonny Jim, Mom Tutie and sister Bonnie to Castellia and Rocky Mount to visit with Aunt Elsie Mae and Uncle George. Family reunions at the church where everyone was so nice. Many stories, my husband Jack took Mom, Bonnie and her daughter Stacie after my daddy passed. Uncle George was so very nice to Jack, taking him to see the fruit trees and making him feel like family at our family reunion. Sure Uncle George and my Dad are enjoying the gardens in heaven.

  4. Love you grandaddy, I will miss you and all those great stories and advice you gave me. Your grandaughter janet ..

  5. Hi my name is Kayla and I am a local bible student. I am do deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one. There is a very comforting scripture at Isaiah 258 that says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can all look forward to a time to see our loved ones again and we will live in perfect conditions. I hope that this scripture can bring some comfort during these very difficult times.

  6. When we feel all along, & death takes our loved ones. We are heart sick, & the pain is so hard to bear. Talk to God in prayer, use name Jehovah & speak from your heart. (Ps. 62 8) Jehovah wants you to know him as a friend. (Isa. 556) He promises no more sickness, & no more death. (Rev.213, 4)
