So sorry for your loss
So sorry for your loss
The first time I ever met Frankie, I thought she was the sweetest thing and so pretty! I met Anna in school many years ago and we became instant friends. Anna and I made a road trip “back home” to North Carolina from Virginia. We had the best time, Frankie was such a doll and made me feel like one of her own. I’ll always remember her warm welcome and how she made me feel right at home. Just as she welcomed me into her home with loving warmth, may peace now welcome her into eternal rest. As she reunites with her husband in eternity, may this thought bring solace to Anna, Georgia, and the entire family during this somber time. Hold onto those precious memories you have of her.
So many wonderful memories. You will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for sharing your sweet soul and blessing us with your love. Say hello to Meme and Pop for me. Love, Matthew
Please accept our deepest sympathies from the Lyndale Townes subdivision.

Anna and Georgia Parrish, I knew your mother when she was just a little girl and a darling little girl she was! I love the picture you chose of her. The expression on her face is the Frankie I remember. Although I have not been in touch in many years, she, her siblings, parents, and grandparents were a big part of my growing up in the Benvenue community.
I spent a week at the “Dog House” at Topsail Beach with the family when your grandfather was building the cottage on the sound. The Dog House had been a hot dog place in one of the towers on the beach. It was turned into a rental cottage, but there was still a huge faded hot dog painted on the side of the building. Your grandparents rented it for the month of August. I think it was the summer before Debbie and I started high school so your momma was about twelve. Several strangers just walked in the door, thinking it was still a hot dog place, so we never knew who might just wander in to order a hot dog. There was a story I was told that happened after I had left about Laura letting Frankie drive. I think she went in reverse and hit the steps on the side of a cottage and the steps fell off. They left in a hurry. (Not sure who was driving the get away-Laura I suspect) There are many other stories and memories of your family that I cherish. There was never a dull moment.
Your momma also wore my wedding dress and veil when she and your dad were married. She was a beautiful bride. She was one of three who wore the dress and veil, and one of nine who wore the veil. I would have loved for one of you to have worn it also, My daughter and my maid of honor and her daughter are among the nine who wore it. Remember that the veil still exists and I would love to see yet another generation of brides wear it.
Anna if you recall a cross stitch sampler that read “March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers ” and had your name underneath, well, I was the one who did the cross stitch and gave it to your mother when you were born. I do not think I have seen you since then. And, Georgia Parrish, though we have never met that I can remember, I love your name. Your momma’s Nannie and Daddy Troy Parrish, were the hub of our community. We children, gathered at their house to play “kick the can” into the night. The side porch was our base. Your mother spent many a day and night with her grandparents, and she may have been your great-grandmother’s favorite.
Please know how sad I am to know that she has passed. I will always think of her as a spicy little girl who held her own as a child smack in the middle of four siblings. She was a special person and know that there are people whom you do not even know that share your grief. Bless you and your families and hold her close in your heart, as that is where she will always be.
