Evelyn Wilson Reese

ROCKY MOUNT – Evelyn Wilson Reese, age 95, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025.  Born in Petersburg, VA on September 7, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Morgan Wilson Reese and Myrtie Swanson Reese.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, William Edward Reese, Thomas Milton Reese and Benjamin Wayne Reese.

Evelyn is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne DeVane Reese of Greenville; nieces, Nan Williams and husband, Jeff, of Rocky Mount, Hope Reese of Rocky Mount, and Amy Daughtridge and husband, Jesse, of Durham; and nephew, Ted Reese of Cary.

A Graveside Service to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery, Section 48 with Transitional Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Rocky Mount, John Winings officiating.  Visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
