Ellie Cutchin Lee

Ellie Prince Cutchin Lee, of Whitakers, passed away on October 10. She was 96 years old.Born in Whitakers to her parents, Calphurnia (Callie) Anna Bailey and James Elmer Cutchin, Ellie Prince was the younger of their two daughters. In addition to her parents and sister, Frances, Ellie Prince was predeceased by her husband, Carmel (Bud) and her elder daughter, Madeline. Surviving Ellie Prince are three children, Robert, with wife Bernice, David, and Gail, with husband Glenn. Additionally, she leaves behind four grandchildren, Stephanie, Jason, Kirstin, and Regan, and one great-grandchild, Everett. A school teacher for years, Ellie Prince decided to focus more on her children, as they grew, and being a true home-maker. She delighted in her family—not only her immediate family, but also many uncles, aunts, and cousins, as well as sisters and brothers in Christ. A service to God in memory of Ellie Prince will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, at the Ward Boulevard Church of Christ in Wilson. Burial will be privately held at the Whitakers Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to Camp Willow Run and Camp Willow Springs, in Littleton, or the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, in Lake Waccamaw.
