Donna Adams Holt

Rocky Mount – Donna Adams Holt, age 69, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024.  Born in Nash County, NC on November 5, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Alvin Adams and Annie Belle Woodcock Adams.

A woman of great faith, Donna was an active member of New Life Church.  A long-time employee of Boddie-Noell Enterprises, she was the general manager of Rose Hill Estates until her retirement.  Donna’s life centered around her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter, all of whom were the light of her eyes.  In her spare time, she enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, crafting, and traveling to the beach with her husband and family.  A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many, Donna will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Donna is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Anderson “Bucky” Holt; her two sons, Shane Holt and Brandon Holt and his wife Misty; her grandchildren, Bishop Holt and his wife Savannah, Alexandra Hale and her husband Renn, and Landyn Holt; her great granddaughter, Darlene Holt; her sisters, Jo Anne Adams Carpenter and Kimberly “Kim” Adams Perryman; her brother, Kenneth “Alan” Adams; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dearest friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Pastor Tim Suber officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Donna’s name to New Life Church Building Fund, 1127 Benvenue Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
