Cheri & I are heartbroken to hear of David’s passing.
When I first arrived on Schisler Drive in Florence, NJ, David & Sandy welcomed me with open arms onto the block, into the neighborhood and as an extended member of their family. Driving David to PHL airport for business trips to Germany, Friday night Pizza dinners (always a “Wire Worker” with drinks served “simultaneously”) @ Sandors in Roebling, Sunday suppers family style (their place or ours), to grilling & chilling with regularity…times spent together were truly the very best of times!
Decades & miles separated us but a bond remained. David was a towering figure in my life during the 90’s. Tonight, a toast is in order to honor my very good friend (“InverHouse” of course).

Cheri & Michael,
I just saw your post—thank you so much. David truly loved spending time with you both. We shared so many wonderful moments together, and he cherished every one of them. He was always happy to talk with you, especially on his way to the airport—that’s why he often asked for a ride.
When we moved away from the neighborhood, it felt like we also drifted apart from the conversations and visits we used to enjoy. David often asked if I’d heard from you.
We were so glad to see you at Ann & Donald’s—it meant a lot. I only wish we had stayed in closer touch.
Just wanted to tell you that I moved back to NJ from NC in November. Jenna (granddaughter) and I have an apartment on Broad Street. She moved in with me because she didn’t want me to be alone. Maybe we can reach out to one another. (dave.sandy@comcast.net)
