Cameron Douglas Waggoner

ROCKY MOUNT – Camereon Douglas Waggoner, age 48, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born in Wilson County, NC on March 5, 1976. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Lucian Waggoner (Theralyn); his aunts, Helen Waggoner Bryant (Otho), Lucy Waggoner Adams (Billy Ray) and Linda Evans Braswell (Elsworth).
Cameron worked for 19 years as a machine operator. He was a homebody, but did like to travel to see friends in St. Louis and visit his uncle Lucian in Colorado. Cameron will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Cameron is survived by his parents, Roland Douglas Waggoner and Barbara Ann Evans Waggoner; and many extended family and friends.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Cameron’s life will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Chris Fowler officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Cameron’s memory to American Liver Foundation, PO Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052.

    • Hey buddy… The best times we had together was on Sundays when we were just becoming young men. I couldn’t wait for you to get to your grandparents house so wr cold ride four wheelers all day . Those were some good times.. So young and innocent. Glad we reconnected. Hope you rest easy my friend. Love you!
