Bobby H. Smith

Bobby H. Smith, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Born in Nash County, NC on May 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Jessie Smith and Nancy Price Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Ann Edwards Smith; and brothers, Gilbert Glenn Smith and Jessie Willard Smith. Bobby was in the Army Reserves for over nine years. He worked for Burlington Industries for 34 years went on to work for Planters Bank for ten years until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and farming. Bobby was a loving husband, father, and friend who be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Bobby leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Lisa Ann Smith of Rocky Mount and numerous nieces and nephews and several close friends. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Red Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home Cremation Services.
