Bobby Carroll Dixon, 76, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was born in Harnett County on April 13, 1936 to the late Howard Roland and Marie Sorrell Dixon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Roland Dixon.
Bobby was a long-time member of the Shrine Club and enjoyed playing golf.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Margaret Lee Dixon: daughter, Carol Dixon of Rocky Mount; son, Ashley Dixon of San Francisco, CA; grandson, Randall Steven Weaver of Rocky Mount; and nephews, Boyd and Jay Dixon of Dunn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital Fund, 403 East Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560-4916.
A service to remember Bobby will be held at 2:00pm Monday, January 28, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home.
