Ann Wheeless Moore

ROCKY MOUNT - Ann Wheeless Moore, age 101, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. Born in Nash County, NC on January 13, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Zollie Hoke Wheeless and Claudia Nelms Wheeless. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Moore, Jr.; daughter, Barbara Flynt; and ten siblings. Ann and James owned Moore's Bicycle Shop. Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Bob Moore and wife, Barbara, of Knightdale, and Steve Moore and wife, Karen, of Holly Springs; daughter, Nancy M. Berry and husband, Dick, of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Joe Wheeless of Wilmington. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Pineview Cemetery with Dr. Jody Wright officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the home of Dick and Nancy Berry, 1412 Jeremy Lane, Rocky Mount. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 1501 Sunset Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
