Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Mr. Alfred was always a delight to be around, a true Southern Gentleman. I was honored to become a grand-classmate to my Mother’s classmates and sit at the children’s table at class reunions when we children started chauffeuring our parents to them. Class reunions were the highlight of May for our parents and Mr. Alfred always tried to attend. I will sorely miss visiting with him and catching him up on Pungo news. May God’s loving arms bring comfort to your family during this time of loss. In Christian Love, Tammy Blake

  2. Alfred & his beautiful wife, were the first people to greet me & shake my hand, when I first started going to Ridgecrest Worship Center here in Rocky Mount, about 11 yrs ago. They would always greet me with a smile & a hug, telling me how great it was was to see me, every time I visited, & thereafter…will always treasure them. Both of them are now together again, in the arms of Jesus…my condolences to the family…sorry for your loss.

  3. I was honored to know Mr. Alfred. I count the whole family among my dearest friends and the most godly people on Earth. My heart hurts with sadness over his passing, but rejoices with the family for the memories they will always have and with the certainty that he is back with his lovely wife Ms. Eunice and others who have gone on to glory before. Rest well, kind sir. Thank you for your quiet strength and dignity, and your loving heart that made everyone feel so special. Love and hugs to Jill, Carissa and all the rest ~ Frances Rogers

  4. We extend our deepest sympathy to all the family and our wish that the Lord would comfort you in this time of grief. R.L. and Dale Taylor Virginia Beach, Va

  5. I have been privileged to know Mr. Alfred for several years. My mother, Jean Gower Windley and Mr. Alfred were Pantego High Classmates. Like, Tammy Blake, I also sat at the children’s table for our parents’ yearly reunions and enjoyed hearing them reminisce about high school days, while also updating each other on children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. My heart hurts for you, Jill, Carissa and your families. I hope that you will find much comfort in memories of your dad. He was a wonderful example of a Southern Gentleman. I pray that our heavenly father will wrap you and your family in comfort and peace. Pam Windley Daw
