Wilma Hudgins Byram

Wilma Hudgins Byram, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. She was born in Rutherfordton, NC on July 13, 1930 to the late George E. Hudgins and Lessie Cooper Wright. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James M. Byram; and her sister, Doris Anderson. Wilma retired after 14 years with Hi-Ram Compass Incorporated. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved the beach and the game of BINGO. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Linda Barnes and her husband, Rodger, of Aroda, VA, and Elaine Kennedy and her husband Danny, of Afton, VA; her son, Chris Byram and his wife, Kimberly, of Knightdale, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Riese, James Byram, Alexis Byram, Mason Byram, Rick Proctor and Stephen Proctor; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Riese, Christian Proctor, Ava Proctor, Dustin Proctor and Jessica Proctor. Wilma is also survived by her sister, Madge Gates of Lyndhurst, VA and her brother, Michael Wright of Spring, TX. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.   1. I am deeply sorry for your loss. The death of a loved one is one of the most difficult things that a person can deal with. Although Ms. Wilma is no longer with you, there will be a time when you will see her again on a paradise Earth. The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever upon it.   2. I remember like yesterday when we loaded up the cars and went to Galveston Texas beach and it fell a flood on us, we got back to the house and the weather was so pretty. We put up a beach umbrella in the front yard with chair and a cooler full of beverages and turned on the radio and just enjoyed the biggest part of the day. Then went to Gilley’s but you would not ride the bull.. What great times we had often..
