Lit a candle in memory of Tommy George Joyner
Tommy is leaving this earth , an awfully big void . Thank s for his past service . I did so enjoy his company the short time that I was around him . Hewill be missed by many , and may the Lord watch over each and everyone of you .
In 1978, Captain Tommy Joyner was my very first supervisor at the RMFD. We fought fires together, trained together, and shared many hours of great fellowship at Fire Station #4. In particular, I recall that Tommy really enjoyed homemade pineapple cakes that my Mom would bring by the station from time to time. I know that Tommy loved the fire service and he was a good public servant. Having worn the uniforms of both a U.S. serviceman and as a fireman, we all owe him a great deal of thanks. You were a good man Captain Joyner…I will miss you sir; job well done. Sincerely, J. Keith Harris Rocky Mount Fire Chief (retired)
Sue I am so sorry to hear about Tommy You have been in my prayers. Love Sandra Lamm
