SIMS – Steven “Steve” Keith Williams, age 74, went home to be with his Lord and savior on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Born in Greene County, NC on June 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Romie Williams and Aileen West Williams. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Williams Bunn; his brothers, Jack Williams and Ed Williams; his sisters, Virginia Langley and Grace Williams; and his father-in-law, Johnny W. Skinner.
Steve retired from Firestone after 25 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, as they were his everything. Steve loved going to the beach, fishing, watching tv, grilling, and going out to eat at Shuckin’ Shack. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Steve was a good husband to his wife Judy a good father to their two children. He loved his family dearly. He will be missed by so many and will forever live on in our hearts.
Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Skinner Williams; his son, Jonathan K. Williams and wife, Kimberly; his sisters, Debbie Williams and Helen W. Edwards; several nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Bear, Sylvester, Angel, and Boogie.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Steve*s life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Jerry Nelson officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
A Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
