  1. 8th grade Williford School 196162. Great teacher. Debbie Baker Joyner. Same grade same school 195758 Frank Joyner. Will always have special memories of her. RIP Mrs. HARDEE.

  2. What wonderful memories I will always have of my 8th grade teacher. I would run into her just about anywhere. She was with her family at El Tapitia a few Sundays ago and we enjoyed talking. We often ran into her at K & W and she attended our church (NorthSide) with a friend a few months ago and sat on the front row so you she could see me play the piano. Her eyes were not good and you had to get close to her for her to be able to see who you were. I think now…of the words in the song Amazing Grace…… …… I once was blind, but now I see…. So happy your sight is perfect now and you can see and enjoy all of the beautiful sights in Heaven. I will miss seeing you around my favorite teacher….. and my friend. Jean Andrews Tatum

  11. Sorry to hear about the passing of your loved one. Please accept my heartfelt condolence. My thoughts & prayers are with you during the difficult times ahead. Remember that God feels our pain, for he felt it fist. John 316. For God so loved the world, he gave his one & only son, so that we might have ever lasting life. There is no greater love then this. What a precious gift we have been given.

  12. I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Hardee’s death. She and Mr. Hardee were my favorite clients, when I prepared their tax returns. I so, looked forward to seeing them each year. In my heart, I had adopted them as my second set of parents. If I ever saw a perfectly loving couple, it was them. I loved the way they had of picking on one another, in the most loving way. In their later years, when they could no longer travel, when I went to their home to pick up and drop off their returns, I felt like I was a part of their family and thoroughly enjoyed every moment I spent with them. I loved receiving calls from her, just to say hello and to check on me. Faye, I never got to meet you, but I hope you know just how much she loved you and how much she appreciated everything you did for her & Mr. Hardee. She bragged all the time of how good you were to them. She loved you as a daughter, not just a daughter-in-law (Her words, not mine). Mrs. Hardee is now with the man she loved, all her life. It leaves a warm feeling in my heart, just thinking of the two of them being reunited. I feel so blessed, to have known the two of them. They were so special to me and they will always be in my heart and memories.

  13. One of the finest ladies I ever taught with. She touched many many lives in such a positive way. I’m so happy to have had her in my life. Trudi Waters

  14. Shirley – Aw, Ms. Robinson. She was my 4th grade teacher. She married James that year! She was also my daughter’s 6th grade teacher. How I loved that lady. Kitty (Doughtie) Etheridge.

  15. Mrs. Hardee was one of the beloved sources of light in our colorful community of Battleboro and now that brilliant light has gone out. We’ll remember here frankness and her eagerness to visit and catch up on all of us who she taught to be nice and to do the right thing. How blessed we were to have such a friend and teacher. Heaven is a little richer and we are a little poorer.

  16. Eddie and Family, Thank you for the opportunity to get to know you all and Mrs. Hardee. Her persistent sense of humor and straightforwardness in the face of adversity was quite astonishing. In the short time I knew her, I found her personality most delightful. May the peace of God keep your hearts and minds during this time of loss.

  17. May God grant your family peace and comfort in the passing of Shirley. Shirley was such a good friend to my late mother, Dorothy Buffaloe. I appreciated speaking with her on the phone or getting to see her each time I came to NC to see my mom. She was such an inspiration – Heaven has indeed gained an angel! Prayers during this difficult time. – Rebecca Bowers

  18. Hi my name is Kayla and I am a local bible teacher. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. There is a very comforting scripture at Isaiah 258. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can all look forward to a time when death will be no more. I hope that this scripture can bring some true comfort during these difficult times.

  19. To her sons, grandchildren , brother and students of Ms. Shirley ;may GOD give you all peace and love as you cherish the precious memories . Shirley was my son’s neighbor back in 1987. John talked about Ms.Shirley and her husband so much. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. In Christian sympathy, John Griffin and Martha L. Barnes
