Michael Collins of Rocky Mount, age 69, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2014 at UNC Chapel Hill.
Michael was born in Somerville, MA on July 21, 1944. He leaves behind a sister, Carolanne Melvin of Florida, and brother, Joseph Collins of Tennessee. His children are Michelle Collins of Rocky Mount, Michael Collins and wife Heather of Robbinsville NC and Barbara Johnston and husband Glenn of Rocky Mount. Michael also leaves seven grandchildren, Glenn Jr., Brendan, Jordan, Nathan, Isaic, Austin and Sean.
The family will receive friends 7:00pm to 8:30pm Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A service to remember Michael will be at 11:00am Thursday morning at Nashville Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Brown officiating.
