So sorry to hear of Ms Smith’s passing – I enjoyed getting to know her during her time at Englewood Presbyterian Church – she was a sweet lady
Dearest Gloria and Mary, I am sending my prayers with love! Pat Hintz Peaceful White Lilies Basket was purchased for the family of Mary Smith by Pat Hintz. Send Flowers
Dear Gloria and Mary Baby), I am sending hugs to you during your time of grieving. Your mama was a smart, and beautiful person. I loved her playfulness with your family doggy pal, Toby, and also taking great care of Grandma Mintz in your home. It was the first time I ever heard someone baby talk with their dog) Hold on to your happy memories as you place her in God’s hands. She is now in a peaceful heavenly place. All my love, Pat Wortham Hintz
I remember Mary from H&R Block 30 some years ago, and her amazing knowledge of accounting and taxation. Tough cases or questions often came Mary’s way, because she was awesome in all that she undertook. I am saddened to hear of her passing. God bless you, Mary, and may you rest in peace.
Mrs. Smith was such a sweet lady and did my taxes for many years. Her daughter Gloria and I are friends. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, Lori
My heart is broken. I was thinking of Mary just a week ago and tried to find out if she was still in Rocky Mount. I finally saw on the internet that she was now living in Wilson, but I couldn’t get in touch with her. Mary was a woman I admired from the first day I met her in January 1989. I worked with her and took income tax classes under her at H&R Block for 6 years, before she left and opened her own income tax service. A couple of years later, she convinced me to do the same thing. I always called her my Tax Mama. I don’t care what tax question you had, she had an answer. I saw the strength she really posessed, when her first husband Bart passed away. I missed the announcement of her 2nd husband Smitty’s funeral, but when we talked on the phone a couple of weeks later, she told me about it. We talked at least a couple of times every year until then. I started having medical problems and we’ve lost contact over the last 3 years, which I truly regret. Mary was the smartest women I’ve ever known. The year I went out of business, I did it mainly because she said it was time to get out of tax preparation business. She had closed her business a couple of years before. She was right again. I’ve never regretted closing my business and my health has gone down-hill since then. I do regret we lost track of each other over the last 3 years. Go fly high, Mary! You truly deserve it. I’ll be by the Moseleum to vist you soon. Loved you woman, and I wil miss you immensely!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I never met Mrs. Smith but I know of her through her daughter and my dear friend Gloria. I’ve known Gloria over 30 years and I’ve heard so many sweet stories of Momma over the years. I’ve been praying for you all for some time now as Gloria kept me informed about how her sweet momma’s health was failing. I’m so sorry for the pain of grief but we have the sweet hope in Jesus to be reunited one day. I will keep you all in my prayers. Please let me know if I can help in any way.
