Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Clayton was our neighbor for over 14 years. We raised our children together. One of Clayton’s Sears customers gave him a puppy. Linda wouldn’t let him keep it so he gave him to us- a black and white poodle we named B.J. The kids loved him.So many memories- such special times! So sorry for your loss, but glad he doesn’t have to suffer anymore.

  2. Loved going to visit Clayton and talking to him. We had so many talks at the end. When I would go by there he would have Cheetos on his hands. That was one of the few things that he could taste at the end. His love for Faye was amazing. He wanted to make sure she was taken care of. I’m going to miss him so bad!

  3. Clay and Faye, I am very sorry to hear about Clayton. We worked together at Sears Parts & Service, and I used to work with Linda at Centura Bank in the Bankcard Dept in the old Sears Building uptown. They were fine people and I always enjoyed seeing and talking to them.

Faye, I know you do not know me but every time I saw Clayton, he always spoke very highly of you. Clay, he was so proud of you. He loved you both very much and I know you will miss him dearly. I will miss seeing him around and the chance of talking about old times also. I did not know he was sick because I have not seen him in a while, but I am glad he is not suffering anymore. Take care and God bless you both.

  4. Clayton was best Sears technician, all customers trusted him, man with big smile. I was blessed to work with him at Sears . May God give peace and precious memories to his wife, son and family. Prayerfully, Martha Barnes

  5. My family would like to send our deepest condolences to Clayton’s family. First I would like to say that Clayton was the MOST Real person you could over meet. He would do his best to help anyone he could. He would tell it like it was (A True Blue person). My family loved to visit Clayton at the stock yard booth over the years and we would talk about old times and how things were in past times. My father and 2 of his brothers were in
World War ll. My son was in Services at the time that Clayton had the booth and on the weekend visits home we always would go visit Clayton at the stock yard. My son’s father was also in the Vietnam area. My husband now loved to stop in and chat with Clayton. As his health was declining Clayton was not complaining about it , he was only wanting the best for his loved ones (His Family). My family would like to Thank You all for sharing this real man with us thru the years. From:Carrie & Kenny Mozingo and Daniel Long & Family.
