Kevin Scott Kimmel

ROCKY MOUNT - Kevin Scott Kimmel, age 62, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016. Born in Fayette County, PA on February 22, 1954, to the late William Lee Kimmel and Alice Thornton Kimmel. Kevin graduated Connellsville High School, PA in 1972. He attended West Virginia University from 1972 to 1977. He majored in Chemistry until an extreme allergic reaction to latex made him give up on that dream, so he left college to join the mainstream jobs of the time where he developed his love for glass. Kevin was an avid reader and loved sailing and his enjoyment with All Tech Gadgets. He traveled around the world with his past employment and currently worked for Ardagh Glass Containers Plant in Wilson, NC. Kevin holds two United Stated Patents in his work in the glass field. Kevin leaves to behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Geraldine Collison Kimmel; daughter, Kathleen Kimmel Hoffman and her husband, Christopher of Riverview, FL; son, Stephen Kimmel of Brandon, FL; step-daughter, Jennifer McGroarty of Somerdale, NJ; step-sons, Joshua Collison of Clementon, NJ and Geremy Ruoff of Magnolia, NJ and nine beautiful grandchildren; sister, Sharon Kimmel of Connellsville, PA and two neices, brother, William Eric Kimmel and his life partner John Douglas Trapp of Germantown, NY. He also leaves behind the two precious babies, Sophie (dog) and Sammie (cat). A Celebration of Kevins Life will be held at a later date in Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in Kevins name to KISSES for KYLE Foundation, P. O. Box 188, Willow Grove, PA 19090, 267-210-1489.
