WAKE FOREST - James Cecil Williams, Jr., age 61, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Born in Nash County, NC on January 25, 1957, he was the son of the late James Cecil Williams, Sr. and Jean Cameron.
James served in the United States Army for over seven years. He was a veteran of the Gulf War and served one tour in Germany. James pastored for over 20 years and was the beloved leader of his congregation. He enjoyed golf, fast cars, and fire arms. James will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory, spouse, Terri Lee Williams of Pinehurst; son, Brandon Luke Williams of Pinehurst; daughter, Rebekah Williams Kuykendall and husband, Joseph, of Cameron. He is also survived by brother, Robert Williams of Clayton; sister, Ruby Williams Costa of Wake Forest; special aunts, Elizabeth Bemis of Mint Hill and Helen Duke Cole of Rome, GA.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
