  1. Pat, my thoughts and prayers are with you! I will always have such fond memories of Ed! He was just a wonderful person and will surely be missed. Heaven has gained another angel. Love you!

  2. I was a close friend of Eddie from infancy, both going to First Baptist Church in Danville and living just a block from each other, and the same age – Eddie born Ag 23 and me May 23, 1944. We played together up to about age 8 or 9 when I began delivering newspapers which took me away from friends. We did everything together and loved each other. I went many times with his family to the drive in theater in their car with Harvie, Ceil, his parents, before Dean was born. Went swimming with them in Sandy River. My family didn’t have a car. We did many things together in school, Forest Hills Elementary School, Robert E Lee Jr High and George Wash High School. We didn’t see each other after graduation except at Class ’62 Reunions. I will never forget Eddie. I currently live at Smith Mt Lake and am retired from designing ships for 39 years. I couldn’t attend Ed’s funeral due to local obligations on Saturday, but I plan to attend his burial in Danville on Monday if I can find the burial site. David Motley
