Doris Williams Paris

Doris Williams Paris, 82, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011. She was a devoted employee of Rocky Mount Mills for over 50 years. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. A wonderful southern cook, her family and friends will miss her fried fish and french fries on Friday. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Kermit Paris and her son, Tony Ray Paris. Surviving are her sons, James Henry Paris of Millen, GA and Timmy Lee Paris of Rocky Mount; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm Friday, August 26, 2011 in the chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
