Cecil “Randy” Randolph Green

Cecil “Randy” Randolph Green, Jr., age 57, went home to heaven on Saturday, October 25, 2014. Born in Nash County on November 3, 1956, he is preceded in death by his father, the late Cecil Randolph Green, Sr. He is the son of Gaynelle Flowers Alford and the late, James Edward Alford, his step-father who raised and loved him dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Donna Taylor Green; his daughter, Amanda Leigh Green of Raleigh, NC; his step-daughter, Amy Burrus Peterson, and her husband, Jeff of Wilson, NC, and one grand-daughter, Teagan McKenzie Peterson. He will also be remembered by his sisters, Peggy Williams and her husband, Al of Rocky Mount, NC; and Wanda Gold of Apex, NC; his brother, Michael Green and his wife, Julie of Rocky Mount, NC; and his step-brother, Don Alford and his wife Tammie of Greenville, NC. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces and nephews
A Celebration of Randys life will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Benvenue Baptist Church, 2464 Benvenue Road, Rocky Mount, NC, 27804, with Rev. Tom Gearhart officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.

Randy, you were one of my brothers best friend for many many years. god rest you and his soul together as he left us both in 1993. I have many memories of you and him having the most fun that any 2 guys could have ever had. God bless your family and loved ones . RIP my friend. John Faircloth.
