Barbara Virginia Newton

Barbara Hardee Newton, age 75, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015. Born in Nash County, NC on December 7, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Frederick Raymond Hardee and Mary Ligon Hardee. She was also predeceased by her cousin, Curtis Hardee, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Connie Weeks Hobbs of LaGrange, NC and Elizabeth Weeks Eackles of Rolesville, NC; her son, David Vincent Weeks, Jr. of Benson, NC; her sister, Dean Hardee Hudgins of Enfield, NC and her grandchildren, Courtney, Connor, Cassidy, Jaydon, Dave, Jamie and Rachael. In addition, Barbara is survived by her cousin, Judy Anderson of Enfield, NC. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00pm at Turkey Branch Baptist Church, 7105 Ringwood Road, Enfield, NC with Reverend Howard Guidry. A private burial will follow at W.J. Hardee Family Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at the church.
