Margaret "Jean" Joyner Webb

ROCKY MOUNT – On Monday, June 29, 2026, Margaret “Jean” Joyner Webb, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior.  Born in Nash County, NC on April 12, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Molly Joyner.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse “Dan” Webb; her sisters, Ruth Oakley, Pearl Faircloth, and Judy Carol Joyner; her brother, Sammy Joyner; and her niece, Tina Joyner Herden.

Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was the proud co-owner and secretary of Webb’s Maintenance and Piping for 30 years, until her retirement in 2021.  Jean enjoyed fishing but loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Tresa Webb of Rocky Mount; her son, Dean Webb and wife, Rhonda, of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Ashley Wiggs and husband, Chad, Bubba Webb and wife, Ramsey, Justin Winstead, and Thomas Winstead and wife, Elizabeth; her great-grandchildren, Adalyn Webb, Drake Webb, and Andy Marshall; her sisters, Elsie Bone, Lucille Skinner, Pat Evans, and Cathy Smith; and her brothers, Tommy Joyner and wife, Jo, and Mike Joyner.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Gary Wood officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.  Visitation with the family will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services and other times at the home, 3610 Old Battleboro Road in Rocky Mount.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jean’s memory to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX  75380.
