Lillian "Lilly" Kay Davis

Rocky Mount – Lillian Kay “Lilly” Davis, age 6, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026.  Born in Edgecombe County, NC on November 10, 2019, she along with her sister, Carmen, was tragically taken far too soon, yet the impact she left behind is everlasting.  She was also preceded in death by her father, Donald Davis; her maternal grandfather, Hugh Horn Battle, III; and her uncle, William Baysdon.

A devoted and loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and dearest friend to many, Lilly will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Lilly is survived by her mother, Melissa Paige Battle; her maternal grandmother, Kathy Kay McDaniel (Ivan “Pops”); her sister and brother, Kenzly Piatt and Landon Piatt; her uncle, Mark Gorham, Jr. (Briana); her cousin, Montana Gorham; and many other extended family members and dearest friends.

A joint Celebration of Life Service to celebrate Lilly and Carmen’s lives will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.  Visitation with the family will be following the service until 4:00 PM in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
