Carolyn Leigh Moore Register

Havelock – Carolyn Leigh Moore Register, age 66, passed away following a long, courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, January 31, 2026.  Born in Edgecombe County, NC on July 23, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edison “Tom” Moore and Evelyn Ann Evans Moore.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen “Steve” Bennett Moore and Thomas “Allen” Moore.

Always up for a road trip, Carolyn enjoyed traveling with family and friends, especially when it came to visiting the beach, which was her happy place.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom she cherished and brought to her the most happiness.  The memories Carolyn created will forever live on in the hearts and minds of all who loved her.  A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many, Carolyn will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Crystal Johnson and Jessica Webb; her son, Michael Strickland; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her nieces, Autumn Acrey and Nicole Moore; her nephews, Eric Acrey and Vince Moore; her special friend and sister-at-heart, Genny Upchurch; and several extended family members and dearest friends.

A Special Gathering of Family and Friends to visit and celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
