I know Jesus has made you whole again and you finally get to see your precious Doreen 🌞 and Johnny and have coffee with your brother Richard again and for that I’m grateful to God!! I’m glad to have heard the stories of Heaven while you waited and I know the music is all you said it was, and I know Jesus finally helped you over that bridge and the fear you had you have no more, like I told you two days before you left here that I’d see you again, and because Jesus Promises to carry you from death to life and I know that He has… 💓☀️🙌🏽I’ll miss playing Come Jesus Come and see you raise your hand even with no strength left!! BAILEY – Patricia Ruth Hassam Ferris, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Born in Rutland County, VT on February 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Baxter Sergeant Hassam and Ruth Barrett Hassam. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John William Ferris; her two day old daughter, Doreen Ferris; and her brother Richard Ferris.
Patricia is survived by her son, Richard John Ferris of Greensboro; her daughters, Melanie Ann Ferris of Bailey and Cynthia Denise Ferris Larson of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Teresa Foster Mowry (Brian), William “Billy” Lane Foster (Christina), Christopher Larson (Amanda), Dawn Knight, Derek John Ferris, Michael Ferris (Jessica), Ashley Ferris, Brittney Ferris, and Shannon Ferris; her 22 great-grandchildren; her three nieces; her one nephew; and her canine companion, Miss Kitty.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia’s memory to Wave Church, 5334 Lamm Road, Wilson, NC 27893.
