Charles “Chuck” Edward Riegel, Jr., age 73, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025. Born in Camden, NJ on August 20, 1951, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Riegel, Sr. and Claire Jane Davies Riegel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jean Glisson Riegel.
Chuck is survived by his children, Allen Tilghman and wife, Nicole, Nathaniel Tilghman and wife, Erin and Justin Brooks; his daughter, Amy Glisson; his grandchildren, Alexandria Tilghman, Gabriella Tilghman, Joshua Tilghman, Elijah Tilghman, Noah Tilghman, Leo Tilghman and Rhys Tilghman.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Chuck’s memory to Veterans Affairs, 120 W Washington St, Nashville, NC 27856.

I remember Chuck as gentle soul and love for his family, and music. We sang together many times in the choir at Crossroads Baptist Church and I always loved the songs he composed. See you soon buddy.

Chuck was a Dear Friend that had a fervent Love for God, family, and Country. His lifetime spanned three States that he shared with me. He was a Navy Seal early on in that program.
He shared his love for music honoring God in solos, composed music with guitar, and church choir. He was a gentle, big hearted man that shared with those more needy. He will be sorely missed and we pray for his loved ones until we all meet in Glory.
