Margaret Mary "Peggy" Brewer

February 27, 1961 ~ March 23, 2025

Born in: San Diego, CA
Resided in: Rocky Mount, NC

Peggy, born on February 27, 1961, in San Diego California passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.  She went to school in Woodbridge Virginia, where she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Brewer on October 14, 1978.

Peggy’s first love was her family, her devoted husband, her two daughters Brianne Brewer of Anchorage Alaska and Natalie Brewer of Wilson, North Carolina and her four granddaughters; Jade Malinish, Hailey Moats, Kelsey Moats, and Riley Moats.  She survived by her sister Elizabeth Mack, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, her brother Timothy Keenan (his spouse Kathleen), Tyson, Virginia her Brother Stephen Keenan (his spouse Jane), Rocky, Mount North Carolina, many nieces and nephews and Emmy (“fur baby”) her Labrador.

Peggy was that rare individual with superb artistic ability combined with a keen intellect. She spent many years as IT executive. Peggy was passionate about her gardens, especially her flowers, and possessed a magical green thumb.  When not gardening she enjoyed her crafts and had an exceptional talent for making the most gorgeous wreaths.  She was well read and enjoyed a good intellectual debate. She had a special love for her time spent at the beach, cultivated at an early age when she lived in Hawaii a block from the ocean.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Patricia Keenan of Woodbridge Virginia.

There will be no formal service, at Peggy’s request.  Her immediate family will have a private celebration of her life.

In lieu flowers the family would ask for donations to the Cholangio Carcinoma Foundation https://www.cholangiocarcinoma.org/donate/.

Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.  You may share memories and condolences with the family by visiting www.wheelerwoodlief.com.
