Michael Curtis Stone

WILSON – Michael Curtis Stone, age 62, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on February 24, 1962.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Ruth Crabtree Stone.

Michael loved spending time with his grandchildren and his K9 companion, Coda.  He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle.  Michael was a music lover and a gifted trumpet player in his youth.  He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend and will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

Michael is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue Allen Stone; his father, Stanley Martin Stone; his sons, Brian Stone and wife, Sarah, and Benjamin Croom and wife, Stacey; his daughter, Amy Collier and husband, Steven; his grandchildren, Anna Collier, Ava Collier, Sam Stone, and Claire Stone; and his brother, Marty Stone.

A Special Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
