ROCKY MOUNT – Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Gulick Clark, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Born in Covington County, KY on July 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Jack Frank Gulick and Margaret Mantach . She was also preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnna Clark; her son, Randle A. Bohren; her great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Bohren; her brother, James Gulick and Gary Miller.
Jackie lived a life full of love, adventure, and music. She cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandkids and great-grandkids, adoring them with all her heart. A true country music fan, Jackie visited the Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash museums and even toured the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. Her experience there was unforgettable, as she had the chance to step onto the iconic stage, feeling the magic as if she were performing herself. In her later years, Jackie embarked on a memorable cruise to the Bahamas, continuing her love for travel. Earlier in life, she and her family shared many cherished moments camping together. Her adventurous spirit began when she was just a young girl, living in the Philippines while her father, Jack, served in the United States Navy. Jackie’s life was filled with joy, and she embraced every moment. In her own words, she shared a beautiful sentiment: “It was time for me to go and be with the Lord and take care of my JoAnna. I have enjoyed my time here on earth to the fullest.”
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Theresa Ann Bohren of Rocky Mount; her sons, James Arthur Bohren of Knotts Island and William E. “Bill” Clark, III of Hertford; her grandchildren, Randle “Shane” Bohren, Jessica Ann Parker (Colin), Bethany Haas (Andrew), Kimberly Clark, Krystal Clark, Skip Bohren, William E. “Billy” Clark IV (Sarabeth), James “Alex” Bohren, Jonathon “Aaron” Bohren (Alicia), Jacob “Andrew” Bohren, Travis Clark and Justin Clark; her great-grandchildren, Logan Parker, Artemis Clark, Drayden Clark, Brylam Clark, Brianna Bohren, Austin Bohren, Randle Bohren. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Williams and many other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jackie’s Life will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Chad Parker officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home until 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jackie’s memory to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, 601 Children’s Ln, Norfolk, VA 23507.
