  1. Willard has blessed many lives through his faithful service to ministries at Parkwood. He will be greatly missed!! A kind and thoughtful man!

  2. Willard’s faith was inspiring! I met him through the R.A. program at Oakdale Baptist Church, later he was my mentor for the God & Country award with the Boy Scouts and he also gave me my first job at Sharpes Formal Wear. He always pointed me to God and the work he did made a difference….I’m a life that was changed. I’m forever grateful for what I learned from him. If more people, had the qualities that Willard displayed, we’d live in a much better world. Go in peace Willard….you home was never in this world, let God’s grace carry you! You were the good & faithful servant.

  3. I will forever be grateful for the friendship that Willard and I had. It began when Willard gave me my first job at Sharpe’s Formal Wear in 1990. He always remembered each member of my family’s birthday and always gave us all a new year’s calendar each Christmas. He always took the time to write positive and inspiring notes and was intentional about his words each time we visited. I am a better person for having known Willard. Sending love and comfort to his family.

He will be missed by everyone at Shoe Carnival. Take your rest Mr. W

  6. Mr. Willard was my Sunday school teacher at Parkwood for several years. I will forever cherish the memories I have of being in his class, and the representation he gave of what it looks like to truly follow and love Christ. He took time to get to know each of us, and hosted numerous lock-ins, adventures, and more to spend time and grow us as a class. Mr. Willard was truly such an inspiration to me as I teach kids today, and I’m forever thankful I had an opportunity to know him!
