Annie Greene Jackson, 89, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born October 19, 1934, in Vance County, daughter of the late Charlie Manual Greene, Sr. and Louise Twisdale Greene. Annie retired with Planters/Centura Bank in Nashville after 25 years of service. She was an active member of Nashville Baptist Church where she served her Lord in many capacities prior to her declining health. She spent many hours creating beautiful pictures that she shared with family and friends. Annie also enjoyed traveling, playing cards, having lunch with friends, and the yearly tradition of beach trips with family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother and grandmother who always put family first. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Weldon Boseman Jackson; brother, Charlie Manual Greene, Jr; and sister-in-law, Claudaline Greene. She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters and sons-in-laws: Rosemarie and Tim Evans of Nashville; Cindy Taylor of Rocky Mount; and Gail and Dirk Beasley of Arlington, TN. Grandsons: Zachary Beasley and wife Lauren of Cabot, AR and Jackson Valentine of Nashville. Great-granddaughter Mila Beasley. Step-grandchildren: Timothy Evans of Wilmington, Anna Brooke Teets and husband, Doug of Red Oak and their children Evan and Lilly. Sister: Ella Greene Ames and husband, Kerry of Magnolia, Delaware; sister-in-law Barbara Jackson of Momeyer; and many special nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service to celebrate Annie’s life and to glorify God will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Nashville Baptist Church, 512 E. Washington Street, Nashville, NC 27856, with Reverend J. Kenneth Byrd, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery.
