Frances "Arlene" Weaver Joyner

December 3, 1949 ~ January 31, 2024

ROCKY MOUNT – Frances "Arlene" Weaver Joyner, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on December 3, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Neal “Sonny” Weaver Jr. and Jacqueline Page “Jackie” Joyner Weaver. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Alan Wayne Weaver and brother-in-law, Robert Thomas Langley. A woman of great faith, Arlene was dedicated to serving her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her family whether it was to their second home in the mountains or visiting and spending time at the beach. Arlene especially enjoyed cooking and having all her family together, sharing memories and making new ones. She cherished her time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandson. A loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and dear friend to many, Arlene will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Arlene is survived by her husband, Bobby Lee Joyner; her daughter, Michelle Joyner Mosley and husband, Chris; her son, Shaun Joyner and wife, Christi; her grandchildren, Evan Christopher Mosley and wife, Hannah, Katelyn Michelle Mosley, Caleb Ray Mosley, Thomas Ryan Joyner and wife, Alexyss, Trevor Lee Joyner and wife, Holland, Cameron Grey Joyner, and Lizzie Peyton Joyner; her great grandson, Steven "Nash" Joyner; her sisters, Diane Weaver Langley and Wanda Weaver Powell and husband, Steve; her brother, Ronnie Neal Weaver and wife, Suzanne; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Private Family Graveside Service to celebrate Arlene’s life will be held at a later date at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.   5. Arlene has certainly been on our prayer list. It has been years since I saw her last but her sister in law Debbie Joyner talked about how beautiful she was inside and out. Will continue to pray for this sweet family.
