Timothy Leroy Murray

ROCKY MOUNT – Timothy Leroy Murray, age 60, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Born in Nash County, NC on December 22, 1962, he was the son of the late Elkins Christopher Murray. Timothy dedicated his life to helping others. A retired paramedic with Nash County EMS following 26 years of service, he was a member of the EMS Angels Motorcycle Club where he also served as a Chaplain. A loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend to many, Timothy will be forever missed and never forgotten. Timothy is survived by his mother, Janice Patterson Jackson; his daughter, Brandy Murray Wedderien (Josh); his son, James Murray; his grandchildren, Jaspen Murray, A.J. Wedderien, and Lilly Rose Wedderien; his brother, Randy Murray; and his fur-baby, Harley. A Funeral Service to celebrate Timothy’s life will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, with Rev. Bill Brantley and Rev. Mike Stamper officiating. Burial will follow the service at Free Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Spring Hope. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Timothy’s name to Arlington Baptist Church, 1500 Bethlehem Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.   3. Janice, I am so sorry to hear of Timmy’s passing. He always had such a sweet spirit even as a child. His loved ones can rest in his care for others and in the work for his Lord. I know we don’t have many close relatives left and I want to send prayers for your comfort in this time of loss. Timothy You are a very very strong person we go back to when you were a child on Berryhill Road you been through a lot and it has made you a strong person work with you some at Nash always had a kind word always were willing to help any body really I can say you are a very special person go rest high on that mountain you deserve it buddy

  5. Son, it has a little more than a year and sometimes seems like yesterday. I miss you so much but you are rejoicing with our Lord, waiting for me. I loved you when you were 18 inches long and I still love you. Rest in peace.
