LAKE ALFRED, FL - Dorothy Stringer Murphy, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020. Born in Atlantic County, NJ on February 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Charles Milton Stringer and Elizabeth Rae Hance Stringer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Murphy.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 331 Hammond Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Father Tim Meares officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery.

One of the first people I was first introduced to in the rottweiler breed. She and her sister Mary were both a delight to know. I was lucky to have bred one of my finest litters to their dog Ch. Arras Von Hasenkamp, The rottweiler world has lost a lovely lady. May she RIP.
I wrote this on my FB page. It was liked by over 235 Rottweiler friends of Dorothy’s and had 110 comments with condolences for Dorothy. It is with deep regret that I inform the Rottweiler World of the passing of my good friend Dorothy Stringer – Murphy. Dorothy was there at the very early beginnings of the American Rottweiler Club. She was an avid supporter for the sport of Schutzhund – titling her dog to Sch.1, a board member of the American Rottweiler Club and board member of the Rottweiler Health Foundation. Over the many years of our friendship, she and I vigorously discussed the Rottweiler with regards to its Health, Breed Type and many other pertinent Rottweiler subjects.
