Lyman Hoggard Boseman

January 28, 1928 ~ May 15, 2017

ROCKY MOUNT - Lyman Hoggard Boseman was born on January 28, 1928 to Jack and Ola Melton Boseman, and peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2017. Lyman was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Maidie of 67 years, his son Joel (Jean) Boseman, his daughter Nancy Griffin, and sister Joyce Bunn. He is survived by seven grandchildren Wayne Boseman (Gretchen), Mark Boseman (Allyson), Sally McClure (Kyle), Anna Hill (Jay), Katie Corey (Lee), Allison Williams (Matthew) and Jackson Boseman. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren Caleb Hill, Micah Boseman, Silas McClure, Griffin Williams, Millie McClure, Clay Corey, Warren Hill, Max McClure, and Fletcher Williams. He was predeceased by his son Lyman Bruce Boseman, his brothers J.T Boseman, Jr. and Jimmie D. Boseman. Funeral Arrangements for Lyman Boseman are as follows: A private family memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Battleboro, NC. A public visitation will be held at the home of Jean and Joel Boseman at 42 Cool Spring Road, Rocky Mount 27801 on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to St. Johns Episcopal Church Building Fund at PO Box 577, Battleboro, NC 27809. The Boseman family would like to thank his devoted caregiver Elsa Berrocal for her love and care to “Granddaddy”.
